Transportation

Once the cake is collected, please be advised that we are no longer responsible for any damages during transit.

To guarantee safe arrival without compromising the quality and design, transport your cake in an air-conditioned vehicle. Securely place your cake on the floor of your car or in the boot out of direct sunlight.

Pick Up & Delivery

All pickups are available from Shop B/197-199 Lyons Road, Drummoyne NSW 2047.

Pickup hours are only on Friday, Saturday and Sundays between the hours of 9am - 1pm.

Therese Lum Cakes is a small operation and delivery is only available for Couture Cakes.

Delivery based on kilometers from Drummoyne:
0 - 20km = $50 (incl GST)
20 - 30km = $100 (incl GST)

Storage

Cakes are best stored in the fridge as soon as possible.

Cakes are best eaten at room temperature. In hotter weather, take cake out of the fridge 1-2 hours before eating. In cooler weather, 3-4 hours out of the fridge.

Leftover cake is best eaten within one week stored in an airtight container.

Notification Period

Therese Lum Cakes is a small operation and fulfilment is subject to availability.

To ensure that we can create your dream cake with meticulous care, a minimum 2-week notice period is required.

For urgent cake enquiries, please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate. Rush fees will apply.

For couture cake enquiries, 2-4 months notice is required.

Cancellations & Pick Up Changes

Changes or cancellations to your event date will incur a 50% cancellation fee to cover preparation costs already incurred. We recommend notifying us well in advance of any changes so that no penalties will apply.

Returns

Please choose carefully as we do not offer returns or exchanges due to change of mind.

Products will only be refunded, credited, or replaced if the product is damaged. In this event, please email hello@thereselum.com and we will attend to this at our earliest convenience.

Allergens

Products contain gluten, gelatine, eggs, and dairy. Our products may contain traces of allergens as our cakes are made in an environment containing eggs, sesame, soy, nuts, and gluten.

Price Guide

Couture cakes are made with different additions and variables that tell a unique story. Therefore, standard pricing is hard to provide for bespoke cakes outside the Fruit Collection and Custom.

Design

Unfortunately, we do not replicate the same design of another cake created by someone else. However, inspiration can be taken to create your cake.

Cake Cutting

For celebration cakes 8 inches or larger, cut vertical slices across the cake, flipping the slab of cake onto a cutting board. From there, cut into one-inch strips, creating columns of cake then cut into smaller portions to serve.

Serving Suggestions

The main difference between dessert slices and coffee slices is their size:

  • Dessert slice: This is a regular-sized piece of cake, typically as a dedicated dessert course.
  • Coffee slice: This is a smaller portion. Typically half the size of a Dessert slice.

Round Cake:
4 inch - 4 dessert servings | 8 coffee servings
6 inch - 8 dessert servings | 16 coffee servings
8 inch - 12 dessert servings | 24 coffee servings
10 inch - 30 dessert servings | 60 coffee servings

Heart Cake:
6 inch - 9 dessert servings | 18 coffee servings
8 inch - 15 dessert servings | 30 coffee servings
10 inch - 34 dessert servings | 68 coffee servings

Taster Boxes

Yes, we offer tasting boxes for our Fruits only.
